Asurest
Chances are getting a Will has been on your to-do list for months but between work, family commitments, and all the other little things that seem to fill your day . . . it’s the easiest thing in the world to put off. It’s the classic problem of important but not urgent. Traditional law firms don’t make the process any easier – listening to legal jargon for hours and spending several thousand dollars (or more) to put a simple plan in place feels excessive. On the other hand, you might have heard horror stories of the mistakes made on online, do-it-yourself Will kits and the stress, grief and frustration caused as a result. You want it done simply but you want it done right.
Asurest was founded on the idea that if an estate plan is something everyone should have, it should be accessible to everyone. We founded as a mobile/virtual firm so you can have important conversations about loved ones within the comfort of your own home. And we work around your schedule – including nights and weekends – to deliver the best service possible. We’ve helped hundreds of clients protect their family and we’d love to help you protect yours.
Matthew Reinaker grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and moved to Virginia after high school to attend the University of Richmond. There, he received his undergraduate degree, Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration. In law school, Matt held the Executive Editor role for the Journal of Law & Technology, served as a justice on the Honor Council, and interned at the US Attorney’s Office. Matt also had the rare and fortunate opportunity to serve as caretaker for and live in the Bottomley House, a beautiful on-campus bed and breakfast.
After law school, Matt worked for Williams Mullen before serving as Chief Operating Officer for Restoration Builders of Virginia, a Richmond home renovation company. Combining his passion for law and business operations, Matt formed Asurest, a mobile law firm dedicated to improving the process of estate planning and serving client needs in the comfort of their own homes.
On the personal side, Matt enjoys travel and adventure – he has hiked the Badaling summit on the Great Wall of China, bungee jumped in New Zealand, and bathed and elephant in a jungle in Nepal. He’s an Ironman triathlete and former ballroom dance instructor and stays active weightlifting, running and completing obstacle course events.
